Rebuild Kits

Perhaps you are a DIY racer on a budget or just someone who prefers to be hands on in every aspect of a build they do. We here at North Texas Converter are here to help you with that by offering the same high quality rebuild kits that we use in house for purchase to you as a consumer. The kits vary by transmission, power level and more, but you can rest assured the pricing is fair and the quality is top notch.

As a side note, we’d like to take a moment to remind anyone who has little to no experience with automatic transmission that to properly build a transmission to hold high horsepower levels successfully in the long term requires very specific training and experience and to carefully consider your abilities before digging into a full transmission rebuild on your own.


The basic 4L80E rebuild kit we offer is the same one used in our Level I 4L80E. It’s an entirely new rebuild kit with Hi Energy frictions, steels, gaskets, filters, seals, new OD and low roller clutches, new OEM BW 34 element sprag, new bearings, new bushings, new thrust washers, and much much more. An ATSG manual is available for an additional fee for any wanting to do the rebuild on their own and looking for a professional guide to help them out along the way.

The kit also includes instructions for doing your hydraulic and valve body mods.

North Texas Converter is willing to supply pre-machined parts such as rollerized stock or billet forward hubs, machined center supports and more for an additional fee. Billet parts such as forward hubs, input or main shafts, or even a 36 element Pro Mod drum (cast or aluminum) are also available.

Price is $950 + shipping and any additional specialty parts beyond the rebuild kit where applicable
